One of Our Programs
Your dog wants to please you so start off on the
right paw. All of our programs take place in and
around your home, where you and your dog are most
comfortable, and at a time that is convenient for
you.
Your program will begin with a visit from a Certified Trainer. We'll then develop individualized lessons in order to achieve the specific goals you have set out for you and your dog. Generally, sessions are one hour in length and last 6 - 8 visits, as there is a lot to learn.
There is simply no substitute for the personalized attention Jump Start Dog Training can offer. Read on to help you decide where to begin.
Your best bet for new additions
to the family. This program introduces the basics of responsible dog
ownership such as preparing your home for your puppy's arrival, house
breaking routines and proper socialization skills with other members
of your household. Address those bad habits such as mouthing, nipping,
and jumping before they even begin.
Extended sessions get your puppy started on the basic commands - sit,
down and come.
This program will teach
your dog to execute fundamental commands including:
Heel - Sit - Down
- Stay - Stand - Recall (come when called). Teaching your dog to wait
calmly at the door, greet people properly and be well mannered is our
goal here.
We can also help you solve behavioural issues such as jumping up, excessive
barking, canine separation anxiety and other unwanted behaviours that
are keeping you from enjoying your pet.
Do you envision your
dog executing the beginner obedience commands off-leash, along with several
more challenging tasks? Then this program is for you.
Having confidence in, and control of your dog, in any situation will
make for a much more enjoyable and rewarding relationship between you
